Book Review: The Family Upstairs by Lisa Jewell

Rating: 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I have always loved Lisa Jewell's work, but nothing prepared me for how much I was going to fall in love with The Family Upstairs. It was absolutely brilliant! It is the perfect mixture of everything you would look for in a thriller/crime novel. A gripping narrative, full of so many twists and turns you are bound to be on the edge of your seat from the moment you pick it up. Needless to say there is a lot going on as this is a book that features several mysteries, numerous murders and a crazy cult. To make this even more exciting, all of this is set between multiple storylines and three different points of view. Spine-tingling, full of suspense and utterly creepy - Lisa Jewell truly has done it again! If you enjoy dark, eerie stories that are full of mystery, foreboding atmosphere and intriguing characters, then this is the perfect book for you!

Twenty-five years ago, in this large Chelsea house, a baby is awake in her cot. In the kitchen, lie three dead bodies, all dressed in black, next to a hastily scrawled note.
