Book Review: The Family Remains by Lisa Jewell

Rating: 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Omg what a sequel!! I absolutely loved the first book and after reading The Family Remains I fell in love with Lisa Jewell's writing all over again. Just like the first book, The Family Remains is absolutely spine-tingling. With more story lines, more characters and even more suspense, we step back into the sinister mind of Henry Lamb. What I love so much about this is that Jewell never intended to create a sequel. Fans were left with so many questions that no one could bare not knowing what happens next. The Family Remains does not fail to provide us with all the answers. Jewell takes the essence of her first book and is able to flawlessly expand on the world and the characters within the book - it is a gripping conclusion to the life of the Lamb's and the Thomsen's!

About The Book:

Early one morning, a bag of human bones is discovered on the shore of the river Thames. When DCI Samuel Owusu sends this bag off for forensic examination, it is discovered that they were the bones of a young woman who had been killed by a blow to the head many years ago. Not only that, this bag reveals a trail of clues that all lead back to a mansion in Chelsea. The same mansion where, nearly thirty years ago, three people lay dead in a kitchen and a baby waited upstairs for someone to pick her up. All clues point toward a brother and sister, currently in Chicago anxiously searching for the only person who can make sense of their own pasts.

Four deaths, an unsolved mystery and a family whose secrets can't stay buried forever...
